Women's
Studies Minor
A
minor in Women's Studies requires a minimum of 16 hours of credit.
Note:
Any substitutions must have written consent of the Chair.

St 200[D,S] Gender & Power: Introduction to Women's Studies
W St 300[M,S] Intersections of Race, Class, Gender & Sexuality
W St 481[M] Theoretical Issues in Women's Studies ---OR---W St
485 Theoretical Issues in Lesbian & Gay Studies
- In
addition to:
- Seven
(7) hours of credit from other Women's Studies courses.
The minor requires a minimum of 16 credit hours, of which 9 credits must be upper-division. Coursework must include W St 200, 300, and either 481 or 485.
A
maximum number of 3 credits of W St 499 and 4 credits of Special
Topics (includes 301, 311, 321) can be applied towards a minor.
Women's
Studies attempts to identify its minors as early as possible. If
you are interested in minoring in Women's Studies, please drop by
the Women's Studies Office and fill out a minor interest form. By
filling out this form you do not obligate yourself to complete a
minor; however, it shows us that you have an interest and we will
keep you informed of developments. After completion of 60 semester
hours at WSU, we will complete a "Petition for Certifying a
Minor (Rule 54)" form which will be filed with the Registrar's
Office.
