Four original one-act plays written by WSU Theatre & Dance students. This is the 11th year in which this festival has been produced. In every year past, one of the plays presented in STAGE One has been selected to compete in the regional American College Theatre Festival.

Anchor

Directed by Audrey Bensel.
A young woman comes home for the first time in over a decade to mourn her grandmother's passing and to settle the differences between herself and her mother.

Undertow
By Elinor Gunn.
Directed by Kelsey Bolster.
A woman's tragic past is an echo of her present. Upon discovering herself to be pregnant, she decides to end the cycle of violence.

The Resurrectionist
By Patrick Rayment.
Directed by Michael Coletta.
A prominent 19th-century doctor faces the demons of his past. He must now justify his actions to an old colleague.

Where You End...I Begin
By Jesse Shao.
Directed by Laura Holeman.
A young man reconciles with his grandmother in this memory play based on the storytelling traditions of a multi-generational Chinese-American household.
