Crimes of the Heart
Beth Henley won the Pulitzer Prize for this comic, twist-of-fate story of 3 sisters' troubled lives. This warm-hearted play is true to life in that comedy and tragedy often dwell side by side.

Friday–Saturday, October 29–30

Dance for My Father
Phyllis Gooden-Young showcases her students from the Modern Dance and Jazz Dance classes in this Dad's Weekend performance. Audiences have come to expect lively music and choreography from this dance recital plus.

STAGE One
The sixth annual evening of original one-act plays. Theatre and non-theatre students alike have the chance to write, direct, and star in these fledgling works. Last season, 2 STAGE One plays won recognition and went on to further performances at the Northwest Drama Festival.

Thursday–Sunday, February 3–6 and
Thursday–Saturday, February 10–12

Death and the King's Horseman
It's 1944 in British Colonial Africa, and the king of the Yoruba people has died. Now, one man must fulfill the calling of a lifetime; one act will determine the spiritual fate of a people. Duty and honor collide in Nigerian Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka's powerful play. Wole Soyinka will be on campus for the opening of this play, and there will be a "talk back" on opening night. Mr. Soyinka will be involved in other WSU events during his visit. For information regarding the play, contact Andrea Chosch-Pittenger or follow this link. For details of Mr. Soyinka's visit, contact Gail Siegel.
8:00 p.m. nightly February 3–5 and 10–12
2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, February 6
All shows in the Jones Theatre

Thursday–Saturday, April 7–9 and April 14–16

Tales of the Lost Formicans
Constance Congdon's bizarre look at America's future, a tragic comedy about the American Dream, Alzheimer's disease, alien abduction, and other subjects too horrible not to laugh at. A hysterically funny, deeply moving study of a contemporary American family sliding into dysfunction, narrated by a group of alien archaeologists from the future who have recreated our civilization, mostly through all the plastic stuff we left behind.
8:00 p.m. nightly
2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 9
All shows in the Jones Theatre

Friday–Saturday, April 22–23

Dance Extravaganza!
