Connie Rodeen was born in Colfax, Washington, and raised in Pullman. She attended WSU for two years after high school, got married, and started her employment with WSU. When her husband graduated from WSU in 1969, they moved to Portland, Oregon, then to Richfield, Utah, where their first daughter was born. After two years the family moved to Walla Walla, Washington, where daughters No. 2 and 3 were born. Connie attended Walla Walla Community College part-time while raising her family. In 1974 the family returned to Pullman, where she worked part-time at WSU. A son was born in 1978. Connie went back to work full-time in 1980, and has been a dedicated WSU employee ever since. She began working in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences in March 1995 as the departmental administrative secretary. In February 1997, she was presented with the Certificate of Service in recognition of 20 years of service to WSU.

Connie knows a lot of people on campus and throughout the community. She can answer (or knows where to find the answer to) just about any question with regard to the department and WSU policies and procedures.
