Morgan Graduate Fellowship

Award Name: Gordon D. and Izola P. Morgan Graduate Fellowship in Sociology

Award: Cash award of at least $1000.

Purpose: To provide fellowship awards to graduate students in sociology for fees, subsistence, research expenses, and other educationally related costs.

Eligibility: Graduate students in the Department of Sociology in good standing. First consideration is given to African-American students, then to other multicultural students, and lastly to Caucasian students.

Application: Submission of a completed application form and current WSU transcript.

Criteria:Graduate student must exhibit academic excellence and financial need.

Selection Procedures: The Awards Committee will review all applications and select the winning applicant.

Award Announcement: The winner will be notified by the Department Chair and a notice of recognition will be posted in the Department's display window outside the Department Office in Wilson Hall. The award winner will be recognized at the Department's annual Spring banquet.
