Minority Student Fellowship
Award Name: Minority Student Fellowship
Award: Up to a $2,000 cash award.
Purpose: To provide fellowship awards to graduate students in sociology who are members of academically underrepresented U.S. minority groups.
Eligibility: Minority graduate students in good standing.
Application: Submission of the application form.
Criteria: Graduate student must be a member of an underrepresented minority group, exhibit academic excellence and financial need.
Selection Procedures: The Awards Committee will review all applications and select the winning applicant.
Award Announcement: The winner will be notified by the Department Chair and a notice of recognition will be posted in the Department's display window outside the Department Office in Wilson Hall. The award winner will be recognized at the Department's annual Spring banquet.
