Paul and Bessie Landis Scholarship

 

Award: Tuition Scholarship

Purpose: To recognize outstanding academic performance and social commitment of undergraduate students.

Eligibility: Undergraduate majors in the Department of Sociology.

Application: Submission of completed application form and a current Degree Audit Report or WSU transcript.

Criteria: Academic performance is a major consideration, as is financial need. Number of courses taken in sociology, and commitment to a career in sociology or the social work profession also are evaluated.

Selection Procedures: The Awards Committee will review all applications and select the winning applicant.

Award Announcement: 

The winner will be notified by the Department Chair and a notice of recognition will be posted in the Department's display window outside the Department Office in Wilson-Short Hall. The award winner will be honored at the Department's annual spring banquet.
