Jeanne Jewett Scholarship

 

Award: Cash award of at least $1000

Purpose: To recognize undergraduate students pursuing careers in social service administration or other administrative positions in the public sector.

Eligibility: Full time undergraduate majors in sociology with sophomore or junior standing and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Application: Submission of a completed application form and a current Degree Audit Report.

Criteria:Applicants must demonstrate financial need and an interest in social service administration through successful internships, work-study, volunteerism, or employment experiences.

Selection Procedures: The Awards Committee will review all applications for eligibility and requirement criteria, and select the winning applicant.

Award Announcement: 

The winner will be notified by the Department Chair and a notice of recognition will be posted in the Department's display window outside the Department Office in Wilson-Short Hall. The award winner will be recognized at the Department's annual Spring banquet.
