Current Research

I'm currently examing public opinion toward immigrants and immigration policy. In particular, I use group threat theory, contact theory, a network perspective, intersection theory, and symbolic racism to understand why native-born citizens hold certain beliefs about immigrants and pro-immigrant policy. In a different line of research, I am also interested in understanding what influences a person to feel like an adult, or what affects a person's subjective age identity while transitioning into adulthood.
