Current and/or Anticipated Research

My dissertation analyses the institutional trajectories of the design disciplines (architecture, product design, interior design, planning, etc.)  in the US . By using HEGIS/IPEDS databases from the National Center for Educational Statistics, I analyze the patterns of growth and decline among design disciplines in the last forty years.

With Dr. Scott Frickel, my second line of research examines the patterns of growth and persistence among interdisciplines in the US from 1978 to 2008 by utilizing a variety of longitudinal databases.
