I am currently the program evaluator for two multi-year federal grant projects through the Health Resources and Services Administration. The long term goal of both projects is to increase the quality of life for rural seniors. Project ACCESS provides information and referral information to rural communities to link seniors with informal community gatekeepers, transportation services, and caregiver support. The goal of Project ACCESS/Mental Health is to construct a network of mental health providers, provide training opportunities on senior mental health issues including dementias to health and human service providers working with rural seniors, and to increase the access by rural seniors to mental health services.
