FACULTY

Our faculty pursue research into a variety of timely social issues. Faculty members bring to this research a mix of theoretical and analytic perspectives and maintain strength in both quantitative and qualitative methods. Among the areas of faculty strength are gender studies; social inequality; crime, law, and deviance; political sociology; work and labor markets; social movements; sociology of the family and life course; environmental sociology; and sociology of communities.
