Areas of Research Interest: Aging, Life Course, Military, Social Stratification

Current Research Interests: My research focuses broadly on social inequality. I am currently exploring the question of how wars affect people's lives. In this research, I examine the life course trajectories of veterans who served in the U.S. armed forces, focusing on the effects of military service and combat exposure on work and health. In collaboration with Ryan Edwards, I am also exploring the impact of military service on later-life mortality.
