Join Jazz Northwest, Washington State University's resident faculty jazz ensemble, as they perform a unique blend of original compositions and distinctive arrangements of classic jazz standards.
Band members Greg Yasinitsky (saxophones), David Jarvis (drums), David Turnbull (trumpet), Frederick "David" Snider (bass), David Hagelganz (saxophone), and John Sterling (guitar) have worked with many of the outstanding figures in jazz, including Lionel Hampton, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Clark Terry, David Friesen, Randy Brecker, Bill Watrous, and Bobby Shew.
The group performs at WSU and regularly appears at festivals, conferences, and schools throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Venue
Picked by Wynton Marsalis as one of the "10 Great Places to Get Jazzed about Great Jazz" (USA Today, 02.15.2007) and selected by Downbeat magazine as one of the "100 Great International Jazz Clubs," Tula's provides an intimate setting for performances by top jazz artists. Tula's is located at 2214 Second Avenue, between Blanchard and Bell in downtown Seattle.
