The CLA Proposal Support Team (PST) - A Quick Guide
What Is It?
The PST will facilitate faculty efforts to obtain extramural grants and fellowships. The team works out of the CLA Dean’s Office.

How Can We Help?
We offer the following assistance to faculty:
- Identifying funding sources
- Timely notification of funding opportunities for individuals and teams
- Development of white papers/letters of inquiry
- Development of funding strategies appropriate to career stage
- Proposal preparation and submission assistance
- Budget pre-approval
- Liaison with OGRD
- Development of on-line tools and guides for CLA scholars
- Coordinate in house reviews of draft proposals
- Cultivate and support major fellowship applications
What Do We Hope to Accomplish?
Our goal is to provide support that allows the faculty to:
- Double CLA extramural funding over the next five years
- Dramatically increase the visibility and impact of CLA research and creative activity
