Criminal Justice Preliminary Exam Field
This field is offered to Ph.D students in political science who would like to take advantage of synergies created by the fact that the Criminal Justice Program is currently housed in the same unit as political science. Potential connections include for example, criminal justice and:
- Public policy
- Courts and law
- International politics through security studies
- Comparative politics through comparative policing
Students testing in this area will be expected to focus on one or more of those areas of overlap. Students choosing criminal justice as a secondary field will be expected to work with their committee members as well as faculty from criminal justice to define the scope of their secondary preliminary exam field.
