Steven
D. Stehr earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of
California, Berkeley in 1991. He is currently an Associate Professor and the
Graduate Studies Director. His primary
teaching and research areas are Public Administration, Public Policy, and
Disasters and Emergency Management. His
research has appeared in Public Administration Review, Urban Affairs
Review, Public Administration Quarterly, The Journal of the
American Planning Association, Review of Public Personnel Administration,
among other scholarly outlets. He also
contributed a chapter to the recently published Handbook of Crisis and
Emergency Management. Dr. Stehr is
currently doing research on the social and organizational processes undertaken
in victim identification and assistance programs following the collapse of the
World Trade Center Towers.
