Pre-Law Option

Student must complete 42 hours of course work, 21 of which must be earned at Washington State University. Students must complete 24 hours of political science, including:

Pol S 443
Pol S elective
   
Crm J 101
Crm J 320, 420, or equivalent
Engl 201 or 301
Phil 201
A course in public speaking, argumentation
An introductory course in economics

Upon successful completion of the pre-law option, students with a grade point average of 2.75 or higher will be awarded a certificate in pre-law.

University Writing Requirements

Two (2) Writing in the Major [M] courses (6 hours) from Pol S 404, 405, 412, 424, 427, 432, 438, 447, 472, 474
  

   
Junior Writing Portfolio/Qualifying Exam
(Portfolio and proficiency exam required no later than first semester after earning 60 credits.)

Foreign Language

2 years high school or 1 year college (in same language)
