Philosophy Club

The Department of Philosophy has an active Philosophy Club that regularly meets to discuss philosophical issues and to have fun. Club members recently attended both professional and undergraduate conferences, and each semester we show at least one Philosophy Club movie.

The club is always looking for new members and invites you to attend a meeting or contact one of the officers listed below.

2008 Ethics Bowl Competition

The Philosophy Club will be representing WSU once again at the Regional Ethics Bowl Competition, to be held November 15, 2008, at Tukwila, Washington. The Philosophy Club was awarded 1st place in 2005 and 3rd place in 2006.

We are searching for undergraduates who are interested in debating with other schools throughout the Pacific Northwest over ethical issues and dilemmas. There are a wide variety of topics, most of which should appeal to all philosophy majors.

Those interested should contact Daniel Holbrook, Philosophy Club advisor.
