Scholarships & Music Awards

University Award Programs

Washington State University offers significant awards to incoming students as part of its admissions process. THE KEY TO RECEIVING THESE AWARDS IS EARLY APPLICATION. The awards are granted to academically strong students on a first-come, first-served basis, with funds often expended by January. Many other awards for incoming and returning students are available; these require submission of the Academic Scholarship Application by February 1. Please visit the WSU Admissions website to access detailed information on all these awards.

The College of Arts and Sciences provides many scholarships and awards to incoming and returning students.


Music Awards and Auditions

The MUSIC PROGRAM in the School of Music offers a range of awards to music majors and non-majors through auditions. These awards and the process for auditioning are respectively described in Music Awards and Auditions web sites. The Audition Day is Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at the Kimbrough Music Building. Auditions may be scheduled by contacting the Music Office at (509) 335-3898 or by e-mail at If you cannot come on the audition day, you may set up another time or make arrangements to send a recording by contacting the music office.
