Active as a soloist and chamber musician, Jeffrey Savage has performed in such venues as Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hallís Weill Hall, the Juilliard Theater, and the FOCUS! Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Banff Keyboard Festival. His orchestral appearances include performances with the Shreveport and Lincoln symphonies, as well as with orchestras in New York, Washington, Colorado, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania. Jeffrey represented The Juilliard School in performances at the Kyoto International Chamber Music Festival and in a series of recitals and masterclasses in China. In a recent tour of Southeast Asia he premiered new works for oboe and piano in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia. Performances in the 2008-2009 season included a duo piano recital by 882 (Eighty-eight Squared) at Carnegie Hallís Weill Recital Hall, and featured recitals at Camerata Musica, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, the University of Puget Soundís Piano Festival (last minute replacement for Ilana Vered), and the National Federation of Music Clubs National Convention in Orlando, as well as solo performances in Spokane and at the University of Idahoís centenary celebration of Elliott Carter.

Jeffrey Savage has received top prizes in national and international competitions, including finalist in the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition and first prize in the Seattle Ladiesí Musical Club. His solo performances have been broadcast on public television and radio. As the piano duo 882, Jeffrey and his wife Karen Hsiao Savage won first prize and the Abild American Music Prize for best performance of an American work at the 2009 Ellis Piano Duo Competition. The duo received second prize and a Special Mention Prize in the Two-Piano Division of Concours Grieg International Piano Competition in Oslo, Norway, where they performed with members of the Oslo Philharmonic.

Raised in Nebraska, Jeffrey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied with Robert Spillman and Angela Cheng. After graduating from Colorado with highest honors, he continued his studies at The Juilliard School, finishing the masterís program with Martin Canin and the doctoral program with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Dedicated to teaching, Jeffrey has adjudicated and presented workshops and masterclasses in Washington, Alaska, Nevada, Idaho, and Oregon. His students have been winners of regional competitions, including Washington Idaho Symphonyís concerto competition and MusicFest Northwest. Before joining the piano faculty of Washington State University, Dr. Savage taught at Lebanon Valley College, and in both Pre-College and College divisions at Juilliard.
