WSU's acclaimed faculty wind quintet in performance, with Gerald Berthiaume, guest pianist. The highlight of this evening's concert will be Poulenc's spirited Sextet for Piano and Winds, along with other notable masterpieces for the wind quintet.

“Orpheus in the Underworld” is a comical operetta by Jacques Offenbach.  As a parody of the classic legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, the story is full of gods and goddesses, nymphs and shepherds, as well as wonderful music.  The famous “Can-Can” was composed for this delightful and energetic takeoff on mythology.

Tickets will be on sale from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on April 7 through 9 in the Kimbrough Music Building Lobby as well as at the door in Bryan Hall Theater an hour and a half before each performance. Admission for students and senior citizens
will be $5 and general admission will be $10.

Spanning nearly the entire breadth of the trio repertoire, this program will include works by Schubert and Schoenfield, and feature Ravel’s dazzling Trio in A minor. The Palouse Trio includes faculty members Meredith Arksey, Ruth Boden and Jeffrey Savage.

Experience the musical talents of the WSU students in the exciting showcase of our 5 varied choral ensembles in the School of Music. 
Performances of Concert Choir, Madrigal Singers, University Singers, Opera Workshop, and VoJazz in one evening concert will certainly lift your hearts, encourage tapping of the toes, and delight your eyes and ears.  Students in these ensembles represent many different majors across the campus who are strongly committed to maintaining music performance in their busy schedules. 

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under 12 and will be available for advance purchase on Nov. 10, 12, and 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Kimbrough Hall lobby and at the door the night of the event beginning at 5:30 p.m.
