Orchestra

The orchestra, conducted by Dr. Nicholas Wallin, rehearses twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday from 4:10 to 5:50). Non-music majors find it a relaxing break from their academics.

The orchestra performs four to five concerts a year of varied repertoire. Recent performances have included works by Telemann, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Schumann, Copland, Mozart and Bartok. In 1995 the WSU Orchestra was chosen to perform at the All Northwest Music Educator's National Conference. All string scholarship recipients are required to be orchestra members.
