The 2015 WSU Jazz Festival is scheduled for
Wednesday, November 4th, in the Kimbrough Music Building and Bryan Hall Theatre on the WSU Campus.


Our guest artist will be Horace Alexander Young.

Please join us for the 2015 Washington State University Jazz Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 4th with special guest saxophonist, flutist, vocalist, composer and WSU alum Horace Alexander Young. Trophies will be awarded to the outstanding band of the morning and the outstanding band of the afternoon. Admission to the gala and afternoon concerts is free to all festival participants. Registration fees are only $175 per group. The festival will be limited to approximately eighteen big bands. Reserve your spot now!

Horace Alexander Young is one of a select group of triple threat” recording and touring artists who is equally gifted as an multi-instrumentalist (woodwinds, keyboards and percussion), vocal musician and as a highly skilled composer/arranger. His varied experiences in these three disciplines have led to appearances on over eighty (80) recordings and several international tours and performances with Sam Lightnin Hopkins, B.B. King, Bill Withers, The Manhattans, Regina Belle, Johnny Kemp, Abdullah Ibrahim (a.k.a. Dollar Brand), Bubbha Thomas, Gerald Alston, Toots Thielemans, John Blake, Arnett Cobb, Jonathan Butler, Youssou N’ Dour, Onaje Allan Gumbs, McCoy Tyner, Nancy Wilson, Kenny Barron, George Coleman, Dwight Sills, Milt Hinton, Dave Liebman, Norman Brown, Don Menza, Marvin Stamm, Betty Carter, Mark Ledford, Kim Waters and countless others.
