Master of Arts in Music – Music Education - With Certification

Our MA in Music-Music Education is designed to prepare you either for the classroom or further studies in a doctoral program.

Potential employers and graduate coordinators of institutions seek candidates whose degree is from an institution with a name.  In 2010 the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education ranked WSU as one of 108 public and private research institutions nationwide with very high research activity (formerly known as Research 1 classification). Earning your degree from an institution with this designation will give you a competitive edge over students who have graduated from private colleges and smaller universities without this highly regarded label.

The Master of Arts in Music degree offered by the Music Program is flexible and provides students the opportunity to develop a unique program of study to satisfy individual interests and goals. The intention of the Music Program and its Graduate Faculty is to provide the best of instruction to our graduate students, maintaining the highest of standards.
