Edward P. Weber, Director
Edward P. Weber joined the faculty of Washington State University in 1996 and has been the director of the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service since spring 2001. He is a professor of political science specializing in American political institutions, regulation, bureaucracy, and public policy with a focus on environmental policy and the reinvention of government. His most recent book is Bringing Society Back In: Grassroots Ecosystem Management, Accountability, and Sustainable Communities (MIT Press, 2003).
Weber earned his B.A. in political science from Colorado State University in 1978 and his M.A. (1991) and Ph.D. (1996) in political science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Weber and his wife, Andrea, have three children, Nick (18), Cody (16), and Alexis (14).
