James Trout
Graduate Student - PhD Literature
Prior to coming to WSU, Trout received his M.A. in English and Comparative Literature from San Jose State University and his B.S. in Food Science from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Research and Teaching Interests
James Trout has taught undergraduate courses in Composition, Research Writing, and 17th and 18th Transnational Literatures in English. He is preparing to take his exams (Fall 2010) in Ecocriticism, 19th Century American literature, and Food and Economy. He is also an editorial associate for ESQ: A Journal of American Renaissance and Poe Studies/Dark Romanticism. This is his second year as the English Graduate Organization President.
