Aree Metz

Aree earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Anthropology from U.C. Davis in 2011 and is currently working towards a MA in English Literature at Washington State University.

Prior to coming to WSU, Aree worked as an Academic Coordinator with the Early Academic Outreach Program at U.C. Davis, an academic preparation program that strives to improve educational equity and access by motivating and preparing educationally and economically disadvantaged students to pursue and succeed in postsecondary opportunities. For the last three years Aree has spent her summers and free time working with international and military children and youth all over the world through the Camp Adventure program at the University of Northern Iowa.

In her spare time (which she has very little of) Aree enjoys reading shoujo manga, watching films, dabbling in creative writing, and traveling.
