Associate Professor Emeritus
Alex Hammond is Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of English. He taught Humanities and American literature and culture. He has published on the American cultural response to nuclear war and on Edgar Allan Poe's Biography and fiction. Currently a consulting editor on the journal Poe Studies, he is working on WSU's Palmer C. Holt Poe Collection and doing research on Poe's early fiction in relation to the literary marketplace.
