Berry Family CLA Faculty Excellence Fellows
Deadline: November 2, 2009
Award amount: Up to $25,000
Supports initiatives that promise to significantly enhance the innovative work of world-class CLA faculty in ways that advance the three primary themes of college priority. Interdisciplinary projects, innovative student engagement, and work that creates models or foundations for future activities are of particular interest. Applications from individuals or teams are welcome.
Edward R. Meyer Project Award
Deadline: October 1, 2009
Award amount: Up to $5,000
Provides support for faculty members to develop projects that are likely to lead to impactful and visible scholarship. The highest priority for the awards will be to support efforts that will lead to applications for extramural grants, prestigious fellowships, or to exhibitions of creative work with national or international visibility. Collaborative proposals are encouraged.
CLA Faculty Travel Grant Program
Deadline: October 1 and April 1 annually
Award amount: Up to $750 for domestic travel or $1,200 for international travel
Supports opportunities for tenured and tenure-track faculty to conduct data-gathering trips, present original scholarship and creative products at national and international conferences, and develop collaborations and partnerships to advance the faculty member's scholarly and creative activities.
WSU Foundation New Faculty Seed Grant Program
Encourages junior-level faculty to develop research, creative, or scholarly programs that provide the potential for extramural support.
