Mary K. Bloodsworth-Lugo
Dr. Bloodsworth-Lugo is associate professor of comparative ethnic studies and on the graduate faculty of the American Studies Program. As Associate Dean for Curriculum and Students, she:
- Coordinates curriculum development and assessment with assistance from the College Curriculum Committee, coordinates liaison for teacher preparation, and approves Summer Session submissions.
- Directs Liberal Arts General Studies, delegating operation of the program to the associate director.
- Coordinates student affairs efforts with assistance of the academic coordinator and general studies associate director, acts on student petitions and complaints.
- Coordinates student scholarships with assistance from the College Scholarship Committee, academic coordinator, and development staff.
- Collaborates with other associate deans and dean in authoring promotion, tenure, and third-year review statements.
- Participates in meetings—college leadership, chairs/directors, dean’s staff and its subgroups, and committees related to duties—as appropriate.
- Advances the college’s commitment to diversity and multiculturalism among the college’s faculty, staff, students, research, teaching, and community outreach, with relevant programs, goals, and activities.
