William F. Mullen Excellence in Teaching Award
The William F. Mullen Excellence in Teaching Award is presented during the spring of each year. We invite nominations of faculty within the College of Liberal Arts who exemplify excellence in teaching with an emphasis on involvement with students outside of the classroom, including advising and involvement with student groups.
This memorial award was established by family and friends of William F. "Frank" Mullen, a professor of political science at Washington State University from 1968 to 1986. He is remembered for his academic and professional accomplishments in the field of political science, and especially as an exceptional teacher. The award is presented each year to a faculty member who serves, as Frank Mullen did, as an outstanding educator of undergraduate students.
