College of Liberal Arts

Teacher Preparation

We are excited that you are considering teacher preparation in the liberal arts! The liberal arts provide students with the ability to write, think critically, and solve problems. In addition, serving as the backbone of our educational system, liberal arts courses are critical preparation classes for high school students. Our goal in the College of Liberal Arts is to provide a solid foundation and excellent preparation in the subject area of your choice.

Students planning to teach secondary school complete the degree requirements in a subject area and concurrently take a core of professional education course work. Students should contact the College of Education regarding admission requirements and specific endorsement requirements for subject areas.
