Advising
A new model of professional advising and faculty mentoring for undergraduates in the College of Liberal Arts is being implemented under the guidance of Tom Whitacre, interim director of advising.
All majors, minors, and pre-certified students will receive the services of a professional advisor. Advisors will handle all routine advising issues, such as course registration, degree audits to assess progress toward graduation, and referrals to other appropriate student services.
In addition, all majors will be assigned a faculty mentor in their home department who will be available for consultation and guidance regarding career opportunities, preparation for graduate or professional school, and similar issues.
