CES Faculty and Staff
CES faculty consists of first-rate scholars trained in the best institutions,
with a proven commitment to promoting multicultural literacy, crosscultural
competency, and a cosmopolitan vision. The faculty emphasizes quality instruction
and innovative research that connects theory and practice, ideas and social
action. Faculty areas of expertise and interest cover a broad range of disciplines
(including sociology, literature, critical pedagogy, media studies, history,
psychology, women's studies, anthropology, and others) in which they have made
substantive and inspiring contributions.
Our faculty seek to encourage students to question traditional knowledge and
analyze events and issues from multiple perspectives. Our research and teaching
strategies are geared to preparing students to function effectively in today's
global arena where race and ethnicity interact with class, gender, sexuality
and religion in both public and private spheres.
