Rebecca Fowler

Ph.D. Candidate (ABD), American Studies

Rebecca is teaching W St 101 for fall 2014. When she's not anchored at WSU, Rebecca returns to Tucson, Arizona, every summer and Christmas vacation to reclaim and reunite with her desert soul, and to hike migrant trails with the Tucson Samaritan Patrol. Her research interests include compassionate immigration, biopolitics and [de] humanization, humanitarian aid groups and their impact on public policy, consciousness and ethics of care theories, and globalization and empire.
