T.V. Reed is an Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts, Professor of English and Director of American Studies. He teaches classes on cultural theory, contemporary American fiction, social movements, popular culture and environmental justice cultural criticism.
He is the author of Fifteen Jugglers, Five Believers: Literary Politics and the Poetics of American Social Movements (University of California Press), and The Art of Protest: Culture and Activism from the Civil rights Movement to the Streets of Seattle (University of Minnesota Press, 2005).
He has completed a book-length manuscript on thirties novelist Robert Cantwell. Reed has published articles in Representations, Cerlces, Wicazo Sa Review, and American Literary History, among others. His bibliographic essay on "Theory and Method in American Studies," origianlly publsihed in American Studies International, is now an expanded website.
